At the Branch Committee Meeting held on 18 June 2020 the following decisions were made.
The Branch will hold its 2019/20 Annual General Meeting at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 21 July 2020. It will be held as an on-line Zoom meeting and log-on details will be forwarded to members a day or so before the meeting.
The Committee is conscious that participation in a Zoom meeting is difficult or not possible for some members. To include such members, the Branch Library will be set up with a computer screen for members to attend and participate in the meeting. If you wish to participate in the Zoom AGM at the Branch Library please email the Secretary by Monday 20 July to register your intention.
Alternatively, Zoom-ready members are asked to invite other members into their homes to join in the meeting.
Alison Alexander has agreed to be the guest speaker, speaking on the topic of her Pillinger Family.
Nominations for the new Committee remain open until 14 July 2020. Members are welcome to self-nominate by emailing the Secretary.
The Committee is working towards the re-opening of the Branch Library at the Old Bellerive Post Office (19 Cambridge Road, Bellerive). The target date, yet to be confirmed, is 1 August 2020 but this will depend on government restrictions and requirements in place at the time, the development of a COVID-19 plan (in line with the government requirements) and availability of library assistants to resume their volunteering. Initially, use of the Library will be restricted and bookings will be required.
